THE SAHARA DESERT was once a great ocean that evolved into a desert. In the Sahara, you will have the chance to meet the nomads and explore their way of life, cross the golden sand dunes by camels to enjoy the most beautiful sunset and sunrise. After the sun sets you will be literally start struck by the beautiful starry studded sky. With no light pollution, the Sahara skies looks to be straight from a fairy tale.

Once you pull yourself  away from staring at the starry heavens, you’ll enjoy the most peaceful and romantic night in a nomadic luxury tent.  You can further indulge your adventurous side,  by driving a 4×4 on the roads used for the Rally Paris-Dakar. You can also do other activities such as: Riding  Buggies, Quad ATVs, Sand-boarding, Sand-bath, etc …

Travel along the road of thousand Kasbah & the Atlas mountains!

A Kasbah is an old traditional house in shape of an ancient palace, owned by wealthy Sultans centuries ago, one of the most visited Kasbah is called Ksar Ait Benhaddou, which became the main site for the production of many international films, like: The mummy 1999, Gladiator 2000, Kingdom of heaven 2005, Babel 2006 …

The lovely landscapes hidden in the Atlas mountains are magical! From agricultural terraces, roses valleys, spectacular huge groves at the Todra, Draa and Ziz oasis filled with palm trees, these mentioned berber villages and others more were the official routes of the commercial caravans, once coming from Timbuktu in Mali crossing the whole Maghreb Sahara. Perfect Trip with Amazing Guide!

Wow! What a dream trip come true! Simo was the best guide we could have asked for. From the start to finish he was very helpful. Simo was patient answering all of our questions during the booking. He gave us advice on the length of time it would take to travel and we are so glad we went with his suggestions. We had a family emergency come up and Simo very graciously rescheduled out trip and was very understanding. The trip was amazing!!! Our guide was an excellent driver and got us safely to all of our destinations while providing an encyclopedia of knowledge! We learned so much during our time in Morocco. All of our stops were perfectly organized and thoughtful. We have not only amazing memories but amazing pictures thanks to our guide. If you are thinking about visiting Morocco, book your Morocco tours with Merzouga Expeditions!!

The variety of sights was impressive. Our guide Simo was very organized and had everything planned so each stop went smoothly. We stayed overnight at a beautiful hotel in the High Atlas Mountains, and rode camels into the Sahara to stay in a very comfortable - luxurious - tent. Along the way we made interesting stops and met very friendly people. It may seem like a lot of driving for 3 days, but we had experiences we couldn’t get in a city or on a big bus tour.

As a tourist worker myself, I was quite concerned about picking the right agency to do 3-days Merzouga tour and so, so happy Simo took us there! Me and my friends (total of 4 girls) went for a private one that included 2 nights and 3 full days on the road. For this one, you really want to have a good and knowledgeable person by your side to get to know the culture, people and history more than just for a surface scratch - and Simo does it extraordinary (and in like 5-6 languages!). He is a very skillful driver, knows his land and was a lot of fun & easy to talk to. Moreover, the kasbah we stayed at the first night was pretty much a castle and the tents in Sahara were above all expectations - clean, warm and cozy. Do yourself a favor and book with him your Morocco tours, then you will have nothing to worry about. This tour made me want to come back at least for a month to enjoy this admirable country and warmest people I've met in a while.

My friends and I took the 4 days 3 nights Sahara Desert Morocco tours and we were just blowned away by the awesome treatment and experience that Simo has provided to us. My friends were slightly worried at the beginning since they were bringing their 1 year and 5 months old baby along but it was all good and Simo even took care of the baby so well. He even went out of his way to make sure we are taken care of and are comfortable throughout the entire tour. Highly recommended and you will never regret joining the tour with Merzouga Expedition. Every single part of the tour, from the places that Simo brought us to the hotels and also the stay at the Sahara desert, to the meals provided and places for lunches, deserve two big thumb ups. You will never go wrong with Merzouga Expedition.Good price with 5 stars service given. Worth every single sen spent. A big THANK YOU to Simo for all the arrangements, kindness and also for taking care of each and everyone of us throughout our entire trip. We truly appreciate it and will definitely recommend Simo to everyone!

Fantastic experience w/ Simo - HIGHLY Recommended!

This was our first time in Morocco and Simo made us feel right at home. Merzouga was recommended by a well-traveled co-worker. She said this was the best trip she's ever had. There's a fair bit of driving, but the good conversation and scenery makes it go quickly. It's all about the journey though anyway, right? The traffic in Morocco can be intense at times, but Simo's confident and safe driving put even my wife at ease. This was our first multi-day guided tour like this, and it won't be our last. We're pretty well-traveled and usually a DIY travel couple, but we got so much more out of the trip this way with a guide. It really opened our eyes to how much it enhances your experience of a country and culture. Simo went to extra lengths to ensure we were assigned good rooms and experienced good service. What an amazing experience! First-class service. We felt like we really got to see the diversity of Morocco off the beaten path in a way that otherwise wouldn't have been possible on our own. Simo's personal touch was very nice. He has great EQ, sensing when we might want to stop, stay longer, or just needed quiet on the drive. For your Morocco tours, Do this trip!

Our tour guide Simo made our short but sweet 3 night expedition through the desert beyond memorable. He was super friendly and open to all of me and my girlfriend’s questions right off the bat and he is very knowledgeable and informative. The experiences we had were unlike anything we could’ve planned on our own as we were taken firsthand, to see and learn about the culture and ways of life of the people living traditional lifestyles in the valleys and mountains of the Moroccan desert. It is clear to me that Simo is very passionate about travel and proud of his heritage, and he is happy to share and teach what he knows. This is not to mention that he is also just a great and fun person to talk to during the drives. We were taken to some great places to eat lunch as well as a couple beautiful hotels along the way as well which is very important as well of course. I can’t wait to come back to Morocco tours and take another deeper dive into the country with my new friend Simo! Thanks!

The beauty of Morocco was a treat as our group of 4 traveled from Marrakech to Merzouga in a private car. The real highlight of the trip was our driver, Hamid, who was always ready to accommodate our requests. Hamid spoke good English and was extremely friendly. Also, the owner, Simo, was a great communicator as he checked in frequently before our trip to make sure the logistics were taken care of. He also checked in after our experience to make sure our experience went well.

Simo was extremely responsive and answered my numerous questions about things to do in Morocco tours. Once we arrived in Morocco Simo went to great lengths to ensure that we had a fun and luxurious experience and that all our needs were met from airport pick up to tasting camel. He speaks 8 languages so he can cater to his clients. Our tour guide Mouhcine was very knowledgeable and made the 3 day trip fun!. My favorite part of the tour was the night in the Sahara desert... from riding a Camel up the sand dunes to watch the sunset to being mesmerized by the stars lighting up the desert skies. Other cool activities included the Dades valley, Kasbah, Atlas Mountains, Tourge Gorge, Ourzazate and looking at fossils. This tour is the best way to see experience the Moroccon desert. . 5* all the way. Thanks Simo and Mouhcine

I had an incredible experience in Morocco and a large part of that is thanks to Simo. Traveling with Simo was like traveling with a friend—he is young, funny, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our tour. The car rides were long, but they felt short. Simo’s wealth of knowledge allowed him to answer all our questions, filling our long journeys with constant chatter. More than that, he knows everyone (that’s not an exaggeration) across the country. At each hotel or experience, he was able to secure us the best room, table, private tour, vendor, etc. His ability to provide us with such high-quality service at every step of our journey was what made our experience so memorable. Simo’s love for Morocco tours is truly infectious. Once we arrived back in Marrakech, we had a newfound understanding for Morocco’s wonderful people, cultures and traditions. I already can’t wait to go back. I would highly recommend booking your tour with Simo!
