They are the original inhabitants of Morocco, considered as the farmers of the Atlas, cultivating bio fruits and vegetable on their fields in shape of wonderful and well organized terraces. The Berbers at the Atlas like all Morocco’s tribes are quite friendly and thanks to their hospitality, they’re welcoming everyone at their own traditional houses to explore their way of living and share a glass of tea with them.
Within the Ourika day trip from Marrakech, you’ll be hiking into the Atlas mountains until you reach the lovely Setti Fatma waterfalls. Day trip to Ourika itinerary
We’ll pick you up from your accommodation Hotel/Riad, and start the Ourika day trip from Marrakech at 9 am. We’ll be traveling towards the foothills of the High Atlas mountains, crossing various traditional Berber villages. Along the road we’ll stop for you at several panoramic views to take amazing pictures, with the option of stopping to visit a Berber family to see how a Moroccan big family live all together in a typical house with a stunning view from the house terrace to green fields at the middle of a wide river.
After that, the day trip from Marrakech will be continued to the Setti fatma village, where you’ll leave the car and start walking with the help of one of our hired professional guide, with him you’ll have about an hour of Hiking to the Atlas mountains, to smell the adorable green nature till you arrive to the Ourika Waterfalls, situated at the top of the whole town.
Lunch will be served in a Berber restaurant while you refreshing and putting your foot on the river, offering delicious Moroccan food, like: Tajines, Couscous, Chicken skewers, Berber Salads, etc … At the evening we’ll be driving back to Marrakech, enjoying the hidden landscapes at the Morocco Atlas mountains. Arrival in Marrakech, and we’ll drop you off to your accommodation. End of our services.
